Disney Springs has a lot happening this summer, and some of it is genuinely worth planning around. Between a massive new gaming venue, a brand new food concept from the Gideon’s Bakehouse team, and a handful of entertainment additions, there’s real substantive changes in the works.
What’s New at Disney Springs This Summer
Level99 Opens June 29
This is the big one. Level99 opens at Disney Springs West Side on June 29, and tickets go on sale June 22. It’s a two-story entertainment venue with 63 Challenge Rooms, Player-vs-Player Duels, and 60+ life-sized games that test your brain and your body. Think axe dodging, mind-bending puzzles, and bold art installations throughout.
This is Level99’s fourth and largest location to date, sitting right next to the Drawn to Life Cirque du Soleil theater. There’s also a full two-story bar with handcrafted cocktails, Detroit-style pizza, wagyu burgers, and rotating beers on tap. It skews toward teens and adults, but if your kids are old enough, this looks like a genuinely fun evening option outside the parks.
Six Ravens: A New Savory Spot from the Gideon’s Team
Gideon’s Bakehouse, which already has one of the longest lines at Disney Springs, is opening a savory concept called Six Ravens at The Landing. The signature item is a Coffyn, which is a house-made yeast roll stuffed with savory fillings inspired by Medieval European pastry cases. You can pair them with smashed potatoes and dips like sweet heat and homemade honey mustard.
They’ll also serve local beers in partnership with Sideward Brewing and The Ravenous Pig. No opening date has been announced yet, but this one’s on my radar. Gideon’s knows what they’re doing, and a grab-and-go savory option from that team is worth getting excited about. Let’s just hope the line isn’t the same as Gideon’s Bakehouse…
Food, Snacks, and Sweet Stuff
- Kakigori Kool cart is now open just outside Morimoto Asia, serving Japanese shaved ice with fruity syrups, strawberry popping boba, and fresh pineapple.
- Goofy’s Candy Company is adding a create-your-own popcorn experience. You pick from caramel, buttered, or Disney Springs’ exclusive orange citrus, add a chocolate drizzle, and choose two or three candy mix-ins.
- Ghirardelli is getting a full renovation coming in 2027. In the meantime, a temporary location opens in Town Center later this summer. Hot fudge sundaes aren’t going anywhere.
- Morimoto Asia and Polite Pig are now on the MICHELIN Guide. If you haven’t added either to your list, now’s the time.
Entertainment and Experiences
On select nights this summer, the AdventHealth Waterside Stage will host the DescenDANCE Party x Camp Rock Jam, a high-energy dance party celebrating the new Disney+ films Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3. It’s free and family-friendly, which makes it a solid option for an evening at Disney Springs.
Amorette’s Patisserie is offering Mickey and Minnie Cookie Art with edible watercolor paints. Each kit includes two cookies, a painter’s palette cookie, brushes, and water-activated paints. Beach-themed designs are new this summer. Honestly, this kind of activity hits differently with younger kids who want to feel like they made something. Also worth knowing: kids’ tickets for Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil are just $25 with a full-price adult ticket purchase through September 6, for performances through September 20.
Disney Springs is underrated as a half-day or evening activity. It’s free to enter, parking is free, and there’s genuinely good food and entertainment there. This summer’s additions make it even harder to skip.
Level99 is the one I’m watching most closely, as many entertainment options have struggled at Disney Springs. I haven’t been to any of the existing locations yet, but I’m looking forward to trying it out. The concept sounds incredible for older kids and adults, and if the food lives up to the menu, it could become a regular stop. I’ll report back after I’ve been through it myself.
Six Ravens from the Gideon’s team is the sleeper pick here. If you’ve had their cookies, you know they don’t put out anything halfway. A savory grab-and-go concept from that kitchen could easily become one of the best quick eats at Disney Springs. Keep your eye on that opening date.
