Walt Disney World has quietly made a major character change at Magic Kingdom, and if you’re planning to visit Princess Fairytale Hall soon, you might be in for a surprise.
Elena of Avalor is no longer meeting guests inside Princess Fairytale Hall with Cinderella. Instead, she has moved to a new location—near Town Square Theater, close to where guests meet Mickey Mouse as they enter the park.

Who’s Replacing Elena of Avalor at Princess Fairytale Hall?
In her place, Disney has begun rotating different princesses on the Cinderella side of Princess Fairytale Hall. So far, guests have reported meeting Belle, Merida, and Snow White in this spot. It’s important to note that these appearances are not on a fixed schedule, and which princess you’ll meet seems to change throughout the day.

No Guarantees—And No App Updates
Adding to the mystery, Cast Members at the entrance to Princess Fairytale Hall are currently not confirming which princess will be available at any given time, and the My Disney Experience app does not list specific characters for this side of the meet and greet either.
That means your visit could include a fun surprise, but also may require some flexibility if you’re hoping to meet a specific princess.
What This Means for Guests
If you have a little one hoping to meet a particular princess, you may want to prepare for the possibility of a surprise encounter or ask a friendly Cast Member nearby for the most current info, even if it’s unofficial.
It’s also worth noting that the other side of Princess Fairytale Hall, where Tiana and Rapunzel meet guests, remains unchanged.
