Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Transportation Guide

Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is one of the three All-Star Value Resorts at Walt Disney World, located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. Like its sister resorts, transportation at All-Star Music relies entirely on Disney’s complimentary bus service.

There is no Monorail, Skyliner, or boat transportation here, so if you are planning to stay at this resort, it’s important to understand how the buses work and how to plan your travel time.

Although buses are the only complimentary transportation option, they are efficient when used correctly. The buses run to all four theme parks, Disney Springs, and the water parks, and during most of the day All-Star Music has its own dedicated buses.

TLDR: All‑Star Music Transportation

  • Primary transport: Disney buses only. No Monorail, Skyliner, or boats.
  • Bus stop: Outside Melody Hall (see All-Star Music Resort Map). Typical waits about 20 minutes, faster at peak dispatch.
  • Ride times once on board: Animal Kingdom 10–12 min, Hollywood Studios 12–15, EPCOT 15–20, Magic Kingdom 20–25.
  • Rope drop plan: Be at the stop 60–75 minutes before official park open.
  • Strollers and accessibility: Strollers must be folded. Buses accommodate ECVs and wheelchairs; arrive earlier at busy times.
  • Shared routing: During slow periods buses may also stop at All‑Star Movies or Sports, adding a few minutes.
  • Airport options: Mears Connect, rideshare, private car service, or rental car. Check out our full guide to Transportation from the Airport to your Disney Resort.
  • Resort to resort: No direct routes. Transfer via a park or Disney Springs, or use rideshare if on a tight timeline.
  • Parking: Overnight self‑parking is complimentary for registered guests.

Transportation Options

Complimentary Resort Transportation

The complimentary bus service at All-Star Music is the primary way guests reach the parks and other Disney destinations. The bus stop is located just outside Melody Hall, the main lobby of the resort, and is clearly marked with signs for each park and Disney Springs. Buses generally arrive every 20 minutes, though frequency is higher during peak park opening and closing times. You can view real-time bus arrival estimates on the display boards at the stop or in the My Disney Experience app.

Strollers must be folded before boarding. If you’re traveling with little ones, review our best stroller options to simplify bus boarding and carrying gear. The buses also accommodate ECVs and wheelchairs, but these require extra time to load and unload, so plan to arrive at the stop a bit earlier during busy times if someone in your party uses a mobility device.

During peak times (especially in the morning when guests are headed to the parks for rope drop) buses fill quickly. I recommend arriving at the stop 60 to 75 minutes before park opening if you want to be among the first guests inside the park.

In the evenings, buses can be crowded at park close and after nighttime fireworks. If you have a very tired child or simply don’t want to wait, rideshare services can be a worthwhile option.

Self-Parking and Valet Services

If you are driving your own vehicle, self-parking is complimentary for resort guests.

Valet service is not available at All-Star Music or any other Value Resort.

Other Transportation Services

Guests who prefer private point-to-point transportation have several options. Minnie Van service, operated through the Lyft app, is available to take you anywhere on Disney property for a fee. Minnie Vans are a great option if you need to get somewhere quickly or if you’re traveling with small children because car seats are provided.

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available and often cost less than Minnie Vans, though it can be harder to find car seats.

Airport Transportation Options

Disney no longer offers a complimentary airport shuttle, but there are several good ways to get from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to All-Star Music.

Destination Connectivity

One of the most common questions I hear from guests is how long it takes to travel from All-Star Music to the parks and other destinations. Below are realistic estimates for travel time once you are on the bus, but remember to add at least 10 minutes for waiting time during the day and 20 to 30 minutes during peak periods like park opening and closing.

To and From the Theme Parks

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the closest park to All-Star Music and usually the quickest bus ride, taking around 10 to 12 minutes once the bus leaves the resort. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also close by, with travel times typically in the 12 to 15 minute range. EPCOT is slightly farther and takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Magic Kingdom is the longest ride at 20 to 25 minutes.

It’s important to note that during slower times of day, buses for All-Star Music may also stop at All-Star Movies or All-Star Sports. This only adds a few minutes, but if you’re traveling with dining or Lightning Lane reservations, you’ll want to plan accordingly.

To Water Parks

Travel times to the water parks depend on which one is open during your visit. Blizzard Beach is close to the All-Star Resorts and usually takes around 10 minutes once on the bus.

Typhoon Lagoon is often serviced by a transfer through Disney Springs when it’s operating, which can extend the total trip to 30 or 40 minutes. Always check the My Disney Experience app or ask a Cast Member for the most up-to-date routing when you’re ready to leave.

To Disney Springs

Buses run directly from All-Star Music to Disney Springs. Travel time is typically 20 to 25 minutes once you are on board. Return buses run until late at night, but lines can get long in the evening.

To Other Walt Disney World Resorts

There is no direct resort-to-resort transportation, so you will need to transfer at a park or Disney Springs if you’re heading to another resort for dining reservations. If you have a breakfast reservation at a Monorail resort, the easiest option is to take a bus from All-Star Music to Magic Kingdom and then walk or take the Monorail to the Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian.

To reach the BoardWalk area resorts or those near EPCOT, take a bus to Hollywood Studios and then either walk or take the FriendShip boats across Crescent Lake. If you are visiting Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, or Art of Animation, you can also transfer at Hollywood Studios and ride the Disney Skyliner.

For Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge, the simplest option is to take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then board a boat to those resorts.

If you are short on time or traveling with kids, rideshare is often the most efficient way to travel between resorts.
