Disney announces closing date for Muppets Courtyard at Hollywood Studios

Say goodbye to Muppets Courtyard as we know it! Starting this May, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will begin phased closures in the area to make way for the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land. The last day to enjoy dining at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will be May 10, followed by the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo after June 7.

While the history and nostalgia of Muppets Courtyard will be missed, the Muppets won’t be completely gone. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the gang are moving to Sunset Boulevard, where they’ll transform Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster into a high-energy, Muppets-themed rock festival.

Make sure you pay homage to Muppet*Vision 3D and enjoy the courtyard before it takes its final bow! Stay tuned for updates as Hollywood Studios undergoes these exciting changes.
