Disney used to offer additional boutiques at Disney Springs and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, but those locations still haven’t reopened since the pandemic. As of 2025, all appointments take place in Magic Kingdom.

The Disney Springs boutique has been closed since 2020 and Disney hasn’t provided any updates on a reopening. We’ve been told unofficially it closed due to new salon licensing requirements put in place during the pandemic, but there is no official announcement from Disney. It used to be a solid backup option for families who wanted the makeover experience without using a park ticket, but for now, it’s unavailable.

For now, just plan as if Magic Kingdom is your only option, because it is.

How to Book Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Without the Stress

Booking Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique can feel overwhelming if you’ve never done it before, namely because of the pressure to get a reservation. Availability goes fast, the booking rules are different for on-site and off-site guests, and the app doesn’t make the process any easier. The good news is that once you understand the basics, you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Disney opens BBB reservations 60 days before your visit.
Here’s the quick version:

• On-site guests: You can book 60 days before check-in, plus up to 10 days of your stay.

On the other end of the range, twelve is the cutoff. If your child is almost thirteen on your trip, plan your appointment earlier in the vacation so you don’t miss the window.

For the most part, I recommend the experience most for kids ages 3-8. While kids older than 8 may still have a great experience, the “magic” wears off a bit.

Tips for Younger Kids

If you’re bringing a three or four year old, keep in mind that some parts of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation can feel long or overstimulating. The boutique is busy, there’s a lot happening at once, and they’ll need to sit still while their Fairy Godmother-in-Training works.

Parent and Sibling Requirements

An adult needs to stay with the child for the entire appointment. No more than 2 adults are permitted with your child in Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at one time. Siblings are not permitted if it will go beyond the 2 person limitation.

You can “swap” parents throughout the experience if there are grandparents or other family members that want to take a few minutes to watch.

You’re welcome to take photos and videos the whole time, and if you have Memory Maker, it’s a great spot to make use of it. A PhotoPass photographer will take a ton of photos throughout the hair portion of the experienece.

If you’ve never done Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before, it’s easy to picture it as a simple hair and makeup session. It’s much more than that. The entire experience is designed to feel like your child is being transformed by the Fairy Godmother and their very own Fairy Godmother-in-Training, and the Cast Members are incredible at keeping the energy fun.

Check-In and Choosing a Look

When you arrive at the boutique, a Cast Member checks you in and confirms your package and hairstyle. If your child is choosing a dress, this is when they’ll look through the available options and make their decision. If you brought your own dress from home, let the Cast Member know and they’ll give you a changing room.

You then go to a changing room to check sizing and put the dress on. Your Fairy-Godmother-in-Training will check your child’s hair (while this feels like a normal interaction in the experience, they are actually checking for Lice or any other safety/health issues).

Your child is then visited by the Fairy Godmother herself before leaving the Boutique and heading over the salon (located just across the path in Cinderella Castle).

Hairstyle, Makeup, and Nails

The makeover begins once your child is seated in their salon chair. This is where the Fairy Godmother-in-Training works her magic. Your child will pick from a small menu of hairstyles, and then the stylist adds makeup, nail polish, and a few small accessories.

The Big Reveal Room

Once the makeover is complete, your Fairy Godmother-in-Training leads your child to the Reveal Room and a character meet with the Fairy Godmother!

The boutique portion where you select a dress is tight, busy and can be loud. Once you get to the salon, it’s a much more relaxed experience and you have a large chair and small area for parents to sit.

How Cast Members Support Your Child

The Fairy Godmothers-in-Training are patient and incredible at adjusting to each child’s comfort level. They’ll slow down, explain what they’re doing, or adjust steps if your child needs a moment. You can always ask them to skip anything that doesn’t work for you.

Modifications You Can Request
